TMUA originates from a line of companies specialized in the abrasive industry since the beginning of the 20th century, founded by the Van Der Windt family
TMUA was founded at the beginning of the 20th Century, originating from a line of companies specialized in abraison, founded by the Van Der Windt family, in answer to the important industrial needs.
In 1984, TMUA ( Techniques Modernes Universelles d’Abrasion, was founded and took over the existing know-how in the production of abrasive operations for industry.
The company left the Parisian region to settle permanently in Haute Loire in the town of Langeac . The founder, Franck Van Der Windt, engineering graduate of « Arts et Métiers » school, set up a technical pole and a versatility of employees which allowed the company to develop and to benefit from a solid reputation on its market.
In 2014, the company is taken over by the Sibim group, run by Pascal Brunel, Julien Ceret, partner and former Techical Manager, becomes the site Manager of TMUA.
In 2016, the company develops its activity and introduces a new range of standard machines, with a new design, meeting recommended safety standards. That same year, TMUA is awarded with the CCI Haute Loire Company of the Year Award ( CCI : Chamber of Commerce )
In 2019, Julien Ceret relinquishes his position as site Manager, for the benefit of Eric Bononi, who becomes head of TMUA.
TMUA, counts 22 permanent employees today and continues its technical know how integrating new industrial technologies. Therefore, the majority of abrasive solutions include automated control systems, with touch screens and diverting displays helping to facilitate the operators apprehension. TMUA has also developped over the years continuous development and design innovations and improvements and notably robotic integration skills for all abrasive applications.
